Tuskegee Area Health Education Center, Inc. (TAHEC) was incorporated in 1972, as a part of a system of Area Health Education Centers (AHECs) to address the problems related to health resource shortages prevalent in rural areas of Alabama.  TAHEC is a nonprofit 501© 3 organization

TAHEC is compassionately dedicated to improving the quality of lives by reducing health disparities among rural residents with a special focus on the veteran population along with educating others about health promotion and health education opportunities for students grades K-16

TAHEC seeks to make our communities healthier and more resilient.
